The Montesa Cota 330 was created as the successor to the Cota 350. It retained the features of earlier models, with an air-cooled engine, drum brakes and dual rear shock absorbers.
Unveiled in 1984, it entered the market the following year, as did its much more modern counterpart, the Cota 304 with disc brakes and monoshock rear end.
The Cota 330 remained in production for just one year, and was replaced by the successor to the 304, the 1986 Cota 335 which had an even shorter run as Honda took over the company later the same year.
The Cota 330 was similar in most respects to earlier models, with a monocoque tank-seat, air-cooled two-stroke engine with 6-speed gearbox, double-cradle frame, drum brakes and conventional suspension front and rear.
Visual differences included red Telesco rear shocks and red mudguards, and it had a new frame which sported an alloy swinging arm.
Great little example of this iconic little bike--quite sort after in the twin shock world as it is light and nimble by comparison to many of its counterparts of that era.
Has footpeg modification (down and back), long front header pipe (better bottom end), new complete alloy mid box, new wes rear muffler, top triple tree conversion to fat bars, oil pump delete, slim line oil pump cover, lengthened swing arm, shock mounting position moved,

YAMAHA TY 175
The whole engine looks identical to the 250’s, except smaller. Internally, the power from the engine is delivered via helical gears to an all-new six-speed transmission. As in its big brother, the first three ratios on the 175 are very tightly spaced. Top speed is surprising, considering the machine’s displacement and intended purpose.
Ignition is by standard flywheel magneto arrangement. CDI units, which have become popular on street as well as motocross machines, are many times inappropriate in trials application because their timing advance is not gradual enough. The problem lies in the advance mechanism, which is electrically triggered instead of being centrifugally controlled. Yamaha has solved the problem simply by shying away from it. Points systems are not foolproof, but with the limited mileage and low rpm levels that trials bikes see, the life of a set of points should be extraordinary.
The TY175 impressed us in several areas. First, it is extremely appealing to the eye. Second is the machine’s agility and third, its performance.
